...so, are we going to assume the discussion of the smell of skunk in Part 1 was referring to an actual skunk in the hotel, or was it Ben covering for Jerry's marijuana smoking?

I feel as if it was Ben covering for Jerry. Correct me if I am wrong, but throughout the season, Ben seems embarrassed to be associated with Jerry. Though we all know he still loves him.
