Amy Shiels is an Irish actress who appeared as Candie in Twin Peaks (2017). She also provided various female voices for the audio edition of The Secret History of Twin Peaks, including Audrey Horne, Norma Jennings, and Margaret Lanterman. In "Part 5," she was mistakenly credited as "Amie Shiels."
Shiels was born in Malahide, Ireland and acted with the Gaiety Theater troupe for three years while appearing in British television series, including Casualty, Holby City, and The Clinic. Her film debut was Veronica Guerin (2003), opposite Cate Blancett and Colin Farrell. She moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to continue her acting career. Shiels has appeared in or voiced roles in several video games, notably as Lunafreya Nox Fleuret in Final Fantasy XV (2015) and its downloadable content.
Shiels was introduced to Twin Peaks casting director Johanna Ray after being recommended by director Randall Wallace. After Shiels moved to Los Angeles, Ray approached her to star in David Lynch's next project, which was revealed to be the 2017 limited series.
