Hello, world. This is my first blog post. Please give me ideas for what I might write next time. RP Out!
This popped up in my inbox today, and I thought everyone here should see it:
MONDO’S DEATH WALTZ RECORDING COMPANY CONTINUES ITS JOURNEY INTO “TWIN PEAKS” WITH THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK FOR THE LIMITED EVENT SERIES
Austin, TX – May 6, 2019 – Mondo Music’s Death Waltz Recording Company is thrilled to return to the town of Twin Peaks with their very own version of Season 3’s Limited Event Series Score featuring tracks by Angelo Badalamenti, Johnny Jewel, David Lynch and Dean Hurley. The TWIN PEAKS: LIMITED EVENT SERIES original soundtrack will be available for sale on Thursday, May 9 at MondoTees.com. The 2LP package compliments Death Waltz’s previous two TWIN PEAKS soundtrack releases featuring a red die cut spot gloss sleeve that reveals a key…
I'm just now learning about the leaked plot synopses (and that I undid a couple edits earlier with information from them).
Yyyyeah, info from those won't be allowed here, just as we've done with early screenings.
Diane, I now have three copies of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, the latest being on VHS. Time to get that VCR up and running again.
I highly doubt this will even be a problem, but spoilers from Part 11 won't be allowed on here until it airs on Showtime, as it's impossible to verify anything until it's actually available to a broad audience and it is a bit unfair to those who can't be at Comic-Con.
So basically, this is the same exact thing as when Parts 1 and 2 premiered a few days before airing. So yeah. Word.
Since we are halfway through the new series, I've decided to share my thoughts so far. Don't expect any crazy theories, though, I've never really been one to do that aside from what I interpret to be obvious hints.
- First off, LOVING it. I can't say if I like it better than the original series (aside from the Evelyn Marsh subplot) or FWWM yet, as I need to see the whole thing first.
- I hope Coop wakes up soon. I've been enjoying the Dougie scenes, but I've been wanting Coop back since Part 4, but luckily, it seems like we're getting close. Coop is (obviously) my favorite character in the whole franchise, so I'm eagerly awaiting his return.
- I love Hawk's expanded role. He's always been one of my favorite characters, but he never really did a who…

Diane... It is 4:11 a.m. and I am still not sleeping. I don't know what is going on with me since I woke up yesterday morning... or should I say afternoon...
I feel like I woke up from the strangest and longest dream. When I opened my eyes, I feared somehow that my body would not be there anymore. Like if it had been stolen while I was sleeping.
I also notice that I struggle to talk or write properly since I woke up. Sometimes the words won't come out, and I am always looking for the right ones. I feel like I'm learning to speak English again.
I have spent the whole day thinking about Twin Peaks. This dream took me back twenty-five years ago, but I can't remember a damn thing. I just know I was back there again last night.
Since I …
So, I've just released a pilot for my new web-series, "Toaster Bonus" and this wiki is seen on it, because I really wanted to give it a shout-out. It deserves a bit of promotion, I believe. I doubt anyone here will be interested in a bad LCD Tetris review, but there is also a brief reference to original series, as well. Enjoy?.. --Тостер (talk) 08:41, July 1, 2017 (UTC)
I was watching Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf'Italic text yet again on TCM tonight and Richard Burton's character mentions the imaginary chilf as "Sonny Jim." Wondering if Lynch borrowed this from Albee's dysfunctional couple? It's just a thought...if someone has already addressed this, just ignore me.
If any of you are multilingual, there are other Twin Peaks Wikis in other languages that look like they could use some help:
- Russian (which strangely is using the Twin Peaks restaurant logo as their wordmark, despite all of their content being for the show)
I've linked all of our articles to the respective ones on the other Wikis, at least for the articles they currently have. We currently cannot link to the German and Polish sites, but I've sent in a request to Wikia staff to take care of this.
If you find any that aren't listed, let me know so we can link to them.
I learned about "Stick Indians" as a child from Native Americans living in Eastern Oregon (Paloose and Umatilla). They were scary creatures of the woods, prairies, and mountains that could kill you, kidnap you and take victims to their spirit-lodges, and generally, make life in the wild difficult. The Native Americans did not like to talk about them at all, and would not speak of them in their native languages -- only English -- for fear the creatures would be summoned. I later discovered that a number of tribes in the West believed in "little people" who were very similar to the Stick Indians. I learned that the Crow in South Dakota thought these little people lived on Spirit Mound (Just 20 miles from the Yankton Prison, BTW). A chief co…
Just wondering why The Missing Pieces is considered canon. I mean, they scenes are missing for a reason. Are we really assuming all of those scenes that were cut out are still considered canon? Some of them I can see happening, others not so much. Is this just an assumption or were they confirmed to still be canon? I'm just wondering especially since I want to know how it would tie in with the new season. That and some of the character decisions were terrible, so I liked that they were cut out and didn't consider them canon.
UPDATE: Thanks for the explanations!
So I'm on vacation right now and while I planned on doing some editing, we're having internet trouble where we are staying, which means I may have to delay my viewing of this weekend's new episode. So, this means I won't be on here at all until I watch it, so if somebody else can tackle the episode's plot in my stead, that'd be damn fine!
EDIT: I may actually be able to watch it on time, but I probably won't feel like typing out much plot detail or adding much to character bios tonight.
As you may have noticed, the Wiki looks a little bit different. This change was made all across Wikia/Fandom, so for more information, or if you have questions/concerns/suggestions, please see the Wikia Staff Blog.
I thought I posted this last night but I guess it didn't for whatever reason.
I have reduced the spoiler embargo to 24 hours, as I realized 48 hours was much too long. 24 might still be too long, so I might reduce it again. Being the only admin here, I'm really flexible with this, so let me know your thoughts if you have any different ideas.
Also, Parts 3 and 4 spoilers still aren't allowed until next week since these two episodes aren't currently as widely available as the first two.
I have already written plot synopses for Part 1 and Part 2 (which means I have watched them twice already), then plan on doing so for Part 3 and Part 4. I am also writing up the new character pages as well as the info that will be added to the old character pages. I will add all of this to the articles as soon as the spoiler embargoes are up.
However, in no way am I saying that I'm taking complete charge of every bit of content on the Wiki, I'm just wanting to make sure the written material especially gets on here as soon as possible, and I'm anxious to do so, haha.
The content that I am not fully capable of doing is high-quality images, especially for the characters. We don't have any images for the new characters, and we need new images fo…
I've created pages for the new characters we've seen so far, but locked them just as a safeguard against spoilers (less trouble for me if someone goes on a spoiler spree :P). I also protected the pages for Part 3 and Part 4, so as to avoid cast spoilers for both of those parts. The new character pages should be unprotected by the end of the spoiler embargoes for Part 1 and Part 2.
Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope you're all enjoying the new series!
Just one more reminder before the new series starts (just under an hour from when I post this!) to please see the spoiler policy for the new series:
No spoilers will be allowed within 48 hours after the respective episode has finished airing. That means no Part 1 or Part 2 spoilers until May 23 at 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM ET, respectively. Even though Part 3 and Part 4 will be available on the app tonight, spoilers from them won't be allowed until 48 hours after they first air on television, meaning they aren't allowed until May 30 at 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM ET, respectively.
If you violate, I'll undo your edit(s) and give you a friendly reminder (not being sarcastic, I really am a nice guy [I think]). Continued offenses will result in a temporar…
Hello, everyone, and happy premiere weekend! This blog post is just a friendly reminder to please read the spoiler policy for Season 3. In short, spoilers for an episode will not be allowed for an episode until 48 hours after it first airs on television. This is so that the experience is not ruined because of time zones.
I'll probably post another reminder tomorrow to drive the point home (I'd rather not undo a ton of edits...) but enjoy the new series!
With Season 3 now less than a week away, I've updated the spoiler policy for this Wiki. The policy has been put in place to be courteous to individuals with different airtimes and those without access to the Showtime Anytime app. Any spoilers added to pages before they are allowed will be undone. We don't want to ruin the experience of the new season for anyone that may use the Wiki to catch up.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Just so everyone is aware, I am MrBelpitsLegs. I had my name changed by Wikia staff, as I was getting tired of it. I think this new one will work just fine! :)
With the third season on the way within the next few months and a potential book coming out sometime after, we've got a great deal of incoming content, but thinking beyond that, I've had some ideas.
In particular, a thought crossed my mind that after Season 3 and the book have been out, this Wiki's content could go beyond Twin Peaks to include other projects with David Lynch at the helm, making this a general David Lynch Wiki. I have founded a couple of other Wikis focused on Lynch projects, but honestly, they don't really have much content to warrant their own Wikis, so those could just be merged with this.
This would have its advantages, one being that there would be a dedicated space on Wikia for all things Lynch. However, disadvantages w…
I learned about Frost's death last night, but didn't have time
to post this until this morning. But rest in peace, Doc. My
condolences to Mark Frost and the rest of the family, including
Twin Peaks cast and crew.
Today, we say farewell to our beloved Agent Albert
Rest in peace. :'(
I hope everyone's having a damn fine Christmas! I received some fine goodies of my own.
I feel like it's time that I should say how we are handling the discrepancies between The Secret History of Twin Peaks and the show/movie here on the Wiki. But first, it should be noted that Mark Frost seems well-aware of what he put in the book and that it was all done intentionally. There has been speculation that this could mean two separate universes will be presented in Season 3, but as this is nothing more than speculation, we can't accept it into the Wiki yet.
If this becomes the case, then we'll edit articles accordingly, whether that means splitting articles between universes or creating new sections to make the differences clear. I'll give an example of what I mean by this: Say that Norma Jennings in universe A is significantly diff…
Bio reconstruction is pretty much done as far as the series goes. I will do Fire Walk with Me and The Missing Pieces soon. I should note that I will probably come back around to the bios and organize them chronologically, make them all past-tense, and replace the episode headings with in-text citations, like how the Gordon Cole article is currently set up. This will probably make the articles look nicer.
I've been thinking about spoilers on this Wiki lately and I've come to a conclusion. Even though I personally don't like to spoil anything for anybody, the spoiler warnings add clutter, so I have decided that anything over a year old will go unmarked. This means spoilers for Twin Peaks and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me will now begin to go unmarked.
The Secret History of Twin Peaks spoilers will remain marked until October 18, 2017.
The special case is Season 3, which will have its spoilers remain marked until one year after the final episode is aired.
I'm about 3 quarters through The Secret History of Twin Peaks. I'm enjoying the book, despite a couple of significant continuity errors. More on those when I start adding info from the book to the Wiki, which I will start doing after midnight tonight.
I'm considering that after I get all of the info from the original series, FWWM, and Secret History added, we re-organize the bios to be in chronological order. But I'm not sure, we can play around with it.
Okay, so the book is already in the hands of some fans and is on the way for others (personally, mine is due to arrive tomorrow). However, any information from the book added before Tuesday, October 18 will be reverted. Although it is definitely common for books to be released to some before the street date, I have decided on this policy to avoid spoilers for anyone who is curious and unaware that some have read the book already. And it's only a few days, so anyone should be able to tolerate the wait.
Yes, part of The Secret History of Twin Peaks has leaked, but I will not be posting it here. No information revealed in the leak will be hosted on this Wiki until the book is released. Any attempts to add any of it will be reversed. This will be policy for 2017 as well, if any of those were to leak, heaven forbid.
I have decided to not count the Star Cards released during the show's original run as canon on here any more, there's just too many discrepancies with them. I've also found that most fans pay them no mind. While my current main focus is character bios, I'll be going through and deleting birthdate information included on the Star Cards since this seems to be the biggest problem with them.
The biggest change so far is Mrs. Tremond's grandson, the article formerly known as Pierre Tremond. The name Pierre is never given in the show or film, only on the card, which also seems to assume he is not a spirit.
Despite the non-canon status, I may add all of their information in a separate part of each article, but I'll decide on that later when I've go…
I completed all of the season 1 bios a few days ago. I am taking a break and will start on season 2 soon. I've also got classes starting soon, but I'll still try to have it and the FWWM bios done by the time The Secret History of Twin Peaks comes out!
I have completed Dale Cooper's biography, episode by episode and have begun work on the rest of them, starting with the pilot, which was HOURS of typing. I aim to have each bio to be complete and up-to-date within the next couple months with the same amount of detail as I did with Cooper's, hopefully before the book comes out, but surely before season 3.
This was posted a few days ago, but I've just now gotten to watch it:
Interesting information is in this video alone, but I will not add anything from it to the articles it concerns (aside from the book's article) until the book itself is out, just so I get everything right.
EDIT: On second, thought, I will add material. I can change it back if I mess up or some things change upon publication of the book.
I am currently reading The Autobiography of Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes and have been adding info to the Wiki from it as I go along, including characters. However, I will not categorize these characters into the normal characters category, as it is debatable as to whether the book is canon due to some continuity issues. However, I find this book notable enough to include this information, especially for those who have not read it, but are curious about it.
Diane, I have recently been appointed admin of the Twin Peaks Wikia. As I take on this responsibility, I have a few goals in mind, though I may think of some others.
- Make the Wiki look a bit more attractive.
- Fill out character biographies
- Fill out missing episode plots
- Replace all content copied from Wikipedia
- Have the Wiki looking nice and full of information by the premiere of the upcoming series in 2017.
Hopefully I will get some help around here, but I will get to work myself.
Recently started watching the series from the very beginning, as if never seen before.
Why Laura stopped working at One Eyed Jack? Did they tell us?
It`s so exciting to create here! I`ll continue editing pages, adding pictures and photos, I feel so wonderful!
My name is Maria, I live in Russia and I`m a Twin Peaks addict since 1997. I love David Lynch movies, black coffee and cherry ;) I`m really glad to join this community to help edit Twin Peaks Wiki - I`d like everyone who drops in to know as much as they can about this wonderful CULT TV series!
