Brent Briscoe was an American film and television actor who portrayed Detective Dave Macklay in the 2017 series of Twin Peaks.
Briscoe was born in Moberly, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri. He worked as a theater actor and screenwriter and later relocated to Los Angeles after appearing opposite Billy Bob Thornton in the latter's directorial debut, Sling Blade (1996). Subsequently, Briscoe appeared regularly as a character actor in numerous films and television series, including The Green Mile (2000) and Spider-Man 2 (2004). He appeared as Detective Neal Domgaard, partner of Robert Forster's character, in David Lynch's original Mulholland Drive pilot, and the adapted feature film, although only their initial scene remained.
Briscoe passed away on October 18, 2017.
