Charlotte was a guest at the Roadhouse in Twin Peaks, Washington.
One night while Trouble were performing on stage, Charlotte overheard an exchange between Richard Horne in the next booth and a bar worker. Afterward, she went over to ask him for a light, then sat down next to him at his invitation. Immediately, Richard violently grabbed her from behind and began making vulgar threats. Despite her friend Elizabeth's intervention, Richard laughed at the two of them and continued assaulting her.[1]
