- 1947 – United Airlines pilot Emil J. Smith, his co-pilot, and a stewardess sight a UFO near Emmett, Idaho during a flight from Boise to Seattle.[2]
- 1970 – While vacationing at Promised Land Lake, Dale Cooper and Marie Schlurman have a rendezvous in a wooded area but are interrupted when a rogue firework starts a wildfire, forcing them to flee without any clothes on.[3]
