A train car was left abandoned in Twin Peaks, Washington.
In the early hours of February 24, 1989, Leland Palmer, while possessed by BOB, abducted Laura Palmer and Ronette Pulaski and took them to the train car. As BOB tortured Laura, a bound Ronette watched in horror until Mike reached the train car and opened the door. She fell out, allowing her escape, and Mike tossed a ring inside. Laura placed this ring on her finger and BOB, now unable to possess her, bludgeoned her to death with a hammer.[1]
BOB removed Laura's body from the train car, but left behind the murder weapon, a note written in Leland's blood, saying "FIRE WALK WITH ME," and half of a heart locket belonging to Laura. These items were discovered by law enforcement later in the day.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Twin Peaks: Access Guide to the Town mentions a railroad graveyard along the Washington-Idaho border, possibly home to the train car.
